Apex Digital's PD-840 portable DVD player features a broad, 8.4-inch widescreen (16:9 aspect ratio) LCD, whose progressive-scanning and thin-film-resistor construction render exceptionally smooth, vivid images wherever you are. The player's rechargeable NiMH battery keeps your discs spinning for up to 2.5 hours at a time, and the player comes with both AC and DC power adapters for in-home and in-car enjoyment. Non-progressive-scanning S-video and composite-video outputs simplify hookup with your home TV.
The player also offers built-in stereo speakers for headphones-free listening and compatibility with DVD-Video, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3-encoded audio discs, and JPEG and Kodak Picture CDs for custom slide shows from your favorite digital photos. You can route digital surround-sound signals through the player's coaxial digital-audio output for direct connection to a full-featured audio/video receiver and multichannel speaker system.
Perfect for watching with a friend (or for keeping both kids engaged in the back seat), the player sports dual mini jack (.125-inch) stereo headphone jacks. (Headphones are not included.)

Apex Digital products often fail within the first year. They have horrible customer service, false advertising, and fail to honor their warranties. Please check www.labbb.gov (Better Business Bureau) and search for Apex Digital to see the F rating the better business bureau has given them. Saving 10-15 dollars is not worth the hassle they cause.
