Amazon.com

Work out several major muscle groups from the comfort of your own home with the Apex Deluxe Power Tower. The chin-up bar contains multiple hand position grips for a varying degree of upper body exercise possibilities, while the ergonomically angled VKR pads reduce stress to the shoulder rotator cuffs and also keep the forearms from slipping off the pads. Its triangular base frame construction allows you to place the unit nearly into the corner of a room. The angled frame design also keeps your body secured against back pad and eliminates body sway when performing knee raises. It measures 41 x 55 x 87 inches when fully assembled. It's backed by a 2-year limited warranty.

If I face outwards, my normal sized head hits the connection holding the lateral bars in place.

I bought this piece of equipment due to its promise of being a compact way of doing a series of basic exercises. After putting the thing together, I just cannot understand how anyone of reasonable size (I am 6') can actually do a pull-up. If I face it, my legs bang into the primary support. If I face outwards, my normal sized head hits the connection holding the lateral bars in place. This is true regardless of hand placement on the lateral bar. In the end, all I can really do are these partial pull-ups that must end in the middle of the pull so my head doesn't get banged. Very unsatisfying! Overall, am quite disappointed with this purchase.

I had used the Apex Deluxe Power Tower working out with a friend, and always found it pretty good. Unlike other units that have the pull-up bar at the back, this one is at the front, so can tuck neatly into a corner. It is well-built, and the cushions are decent. I'm always worried about the stitching on these plastic cushions, but it is holding up very well.

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it really needs to be secured to the floor to add the stability that I think you need for a tower like this. It is stable in as much as it will never fall over when you're working on it, but the tiny movements are off-putting. I drilled a couple of holes through the feet and into the concrete floor of my garage, and now the unit is solid. To be honest, that wasn't a big deal at all, and overall I am very satisfied with it.

Once the location within the house was determined, the actual putting together of the system was easy and quick (about 45 minutes). The unit is tall, luckily we have tall ceilings so it wasn't too big of an issue, that being said being 5'6 makes the pull-up bar a little hard to reach, but using the peg at the back negates that problem. In reality it isn't a big deal since I can complete dead hangs without my feet touching the floor. Being able to fold up the arm rests allows for wide arm pull-ups and dead hangs with no interference at all. I have noticed absolutely no instability that some have mentioned that happened to them, but I only weigh 170. Overall extremely impressed with the unit and have already recommended it to others who are looking to complete their home gym. Lost 1 star due to having to use situp pegs to reach the pull-up bar.

Me and my son use this and love it so much and will buy more soon. You would ruin your work outs if you don't have this in your arsenal

Ordered this item twice. Both times the box arrived so damaged that parts were sticking out, and, as it turned out, missing.

The assembly process of this item is pretty straightforward, especially for a piece of exercise equipment. I had it fully assembled in about an hour. There were a few problems with bolts lining up and so my finished tower is missing two bolts. This shouldn't be a problem because I only weigh about 150 pounds.

The pull up bar is secured with two bolts, and the dip arms are secured with one bolt. This makes assembly easy, but the unit wobbles a bit when I'm using it, and I would be worried about letting anyone who weighs over 250 pounds use it, at least with the stock bolts.

The power tower will fit snugly in a corner, with the arms in the down position. If you intend on doing pull ups, you may need to pull it out a bit from the corner of the wall because the arms will bump into the wall if try to put them up. I am currently using a piece a paracord to keep the arms up while I do pull ups (space is pretty tight in my apartment so I need to have it all the way in the corner).
