Fantastic and Cheap,

Pros: Easy to set up, instructions and diagrams are clear
Very, very solid metal. Sturdy Compact Can be folded Up Cheap comfortable to use Easy to take certain parts off in order to transport. Has a step up "nub" for shorter people (which can also double for resting or gauging where legs are) Simple Cons: Can feel a TINY flex on the whole unit during some movements but doesnt affect ANYTHING Overall this is a no brainer (especially if you have prime) Don't waste your money on "ab rockets" and all that crap. This is totally usable for getting great abs. Not to mention all the other exercises besides abs. Couldnt be happier.

I like this machine. I bought it to have a captain's chair for lower abs. It fits well into a corner. It is big but relative to similar captain's chairs takes up a lot less space. It will last forever, the thing is really solid.

Affordable and stylish,

This unit is very functional and fits in the corner of any room. I like it's design which is good since I keep it in my house. It was very easy to assemble. The only drawback for me is that the handles for the dip station are uncomfortable. I just put some bike grips on them and I'm good to go.

I really wanted to like this tower...it looks great and is very sturdy. However, it suffers from some fatal design flaws, and if it weren't such a pain to disassemble i would return it right away.
It basically has three main functions, and they are all flawed in some way. The main problem is in doing pull-ups. The bars are not long enough, and because the main vertical post is angled away from your body, your chest rubs against the back-pad. It is impossible to do a proper pull-up. To me, it is insane that anyone would put out a product with such a fundamental design error. Secondly, for dips the grip is too wide for me. For many people it may be fine, but since it is impossible to adjust the bar spacing (and you cannot re-position your hands because of the sit-up arm pads), it is largely useless for this function as well. Strike two. Thirdly, the makers of this machine did not see fit to provide grip pads for the metal bars (which would be super-cheap to include, and would be of enormous benefit). So not only is the machine constructed completely wrong for me (as they would be for many people), but it has the added insult of being especially uncomfortable on the hands. Strike three, yer out. My philosophy is to buy quality, or buy nothing at all. That's all I can say. Since this is not quality, then I would recommend not buying it...and I am normally a very positive person. $$ down the drain...this item is just a clunky metal behemoth that will be used for little more than a coat-rack. Bummer.

This device fits nicely in our rec room, and has become very useful. This only glitch, is that when you raise the dip bar in order to do pull ups, the two slots for the locking pin do not line up well, and you have to kind of force the pin into place. It is still very functional, and I consider the complaint to be minor at best.

I only needed something to do leg lifts with so I am ok with this but I would never recommend this to anyone.
The bolts dont even fit! Luckily for me, I only weight 130 so Im not worried about the whole thing falling apart. The paint is cheap and smelly. Seriously, just pay an extra 20bucks for a better one. I know it may seem tempting because this is the cheapest power tower on amazon but really do yourself a favor, dont buy this one. I should had just spent the extra 20 bucks...

Great Company,

Outstanding customer service. The power tower arrived with parts missing and the company resolved it quickly and professionally. The parts were missing due to the shippers ripping the box not due to the company. A live person answered the phone and worked with the exact same list I had. They shipped all the parts promptly and I was amazed that they got it right. Awesome company.
The product itself is well made and will obviously last a long time. Careful of the instructions though. The illustrations are not on the facing page but on the back of the assembly instruction pages. Once you figure that out they're simple enough. Only took about two hours all told. The lack of exercises included doesn't really matter since dips, leg lifts and pull ups should be pretty self explanatory. Been using it for a week now and I already feel results. I bought this specifically to get back in shape after breaking my wrist in seven places and I couldn't be happier. Now I don't normally write reviews but felt I had to give kudo's to a company that still uses live people to answer their phones and actually seems to know their products. A nice change from an era of poor customer service and robotic phone menus... I'd buy from them again just because of that...

Putting it together is the only workout you'll ever get,

I bought a big heavy box of garbage. I didn't realize that's what I was buying, but I don't have a Power Tower and I don't have the money I gave Apex, so I guess I have some metal pipes and a cardboard box to play with. I can't finish assembling the tower because multiple parts simply don't fit together. At first, I thought they just didn't account for the extra thickness of the powder coating. The bolts barely fit into the nuts, and leave shreds of coating behind when you screw them in. But after jamming the bits of the frame together, bolt holes weren't lining up. I've loosened all the bolts and even taken a rubber sledge to the parts to try and coax things into lining up. Maybe I'm not strong enough. Maybe I should have bought a different Power Tower so I could work out and have the hulking muscles necessary to reshape these parts into a new Power Tower. Maybe I needed a pre-power-tower power tower. But I thought I just needed the one.
I've put things together before. Lots of things. I put a grill together yesterday. When I inserted a bolt into one end of a pipe, it happily exited the other end. But not so with my Garbage Box. I should probably just do some pushups. It's cheaper and takes up less space on my kitchen floor. Thanks Apex!

Not worth it, quality issues,
This review is from: Apex Power Tower (Sports)
This tower is not a $200 piece of exercise equipment. The product arrived very quickly for free, and was easy to assemble by myself (~1.5 hours). But there are major design & quality flaws. First thing, there is a 1x2 inch metal plate welded on the bottom of the flat support that has no function, which creates a rocking motion while in use. The dip arm supports are too far apart, really puts unstable pressure on the shoulders and is uncomfortable. There are visible holes in the weld locations of the dip arms and other critical spots, there is a 2 inch stretch void in the dip arm where the metal was bent to create a curve. With use, I would guess this unit would last only a few months before something breaks and injures the user. I am returning this ASAP.

This product is exactly as I expected. It arrived quickly, was extremely heavy though (70lbs). All parts arrived in the package and the instructions were somewhat confusing initially, but I was able to catch on and put it together. A bit taller than I expected (luckily I have high ceilings).
