I love the style of these notebooks, their convenience and versatility. Each page has a place to enter the date and page number. The paper quality is excellent - very smooth, easy to write on. I love to fill these up with notes for class. They make thinking and writing so much more enjoyable.

Paper and binding quality is superb. For usefulness they are fantastic, as opposed to the Moleskines lined 8X5 which I use extensively for work, these little Apica notebooks are much handier for short journals such as for holidays, or a vacation, or any subset of events to log or thoughts to gather. The line spacing is a teensie bit wider than the Moleskine which I think is a good thing. My great grandfather kept a journal written on a poor quality paper and now it's almost impossible to read. If you want your grand kids to browse through your writings, better to be on one or more of these things than a spiral bound three hole Walmart notebook, or even worse some hard-drive with a bunch of computer files written with long-abandoned technology. The only problem with the Apica is that the paper is so nice that you may hesitate to pollute it with your crappy handwriting.
