This is a tremendous study of how to increase your survival chances during varying degrees of social collapse and disorder. Even those seeking a purely secular guide to planning for and surviving natural disaster, political upheaval, etc. should read this book. Its chapters are logically sequenced by topic (Food, water, shelter, communication, etc.) and each is covered in depth. For the Christian survivor it is better still, as it is written by a Roman Catholic Theologian and offers a good deal of insight into his understanding of the end times as prophecied in the Holy Bible. That said, even an Atheist would come away from this publication with a great deal of knowledge. Highly recommend to any who understand how fragile our daily lives truly are!
