Rising Death Metal Stars,
This review is from: Apocalyptic Feasting (Audio CD)
I don't write many reviews but this CD deserves more. Braindrill is a super group basicly. The guitarist is fast and super technical, drummer is rated as one of the TOP TEN FASTEST IN THE WORLD, and there bassist has a 8 finger tapping technique for his bass! Oh yeah the singer is pretty great to lol. Not only does this band have the talent to make great music but they are putting that talent to use. The songs are blazingly fast (most clocking in at over 280 beats), brutaly heavy, and masterfuly technical. The drummer at some points makes the double kick bass sound like a machine gun(his like an american Hellhammer)and the guitarist is just crazy. This is the future of death metal right here. They didn't just raise the bar, they blew it out the f**king roof. If you like death metal buy this CD. Stop reading and buy it NOW. Even if you don't like death metal that much you can atleast admire the musicianship. The only flaws in this album are the lack of bass(I really wanna hear what this guy can do) and its a little on the short side. Other than that its flawless for their first album.

The apocalyptic feasting has begun,
This review is from: Apocalyptic Feasting (Audio CD)
This is one album that every death metal fan should have. It is the most brutal stuff i have heard to date next to some of the most tech death metal on the market. The first 10 seconds of the album beging with a drill sound, then after that it is absolute freakin chaos. All I can say is buy this album, you will not regret it. When you finish listening to this album you will feel a sense that your brian has been drilled.

I think the first four times I listened to this disc my mouth just hung open.
Being a speed / death metal vet. Yes folks, I'm in my mid 30's. An old geezer by metal standards. I'm feeling mixed on this disc. Why did I give it five stars? The technical skill here is second to none. The songs? Are they songs? Sounds like a ton of scales and a few mediocre riffs. I'm anxious though, I heard they broke up, then I read they reformed. I'm not the metal version of Dear Abby. But here's some advice. Keep the speed. Drop the imagery. The whole cannibal thing has been done to death. Start writing actual songs that are memorable and dont have five million different parts to each song. I'm anxious to see what they come up with next album. I'm afraid though, with the tired out imagery, and if they keep doing scales instead of songs, the public will tire of them quickly. Speedy and memorable would be the way to go.
