Customer Reviews

This is great stuff, no doubt, but Krisiuns done better before.
"sadistik"
Apocalyptic Revelation is an insane slab of brutal, and I do mean BRUTAL Death/Black metal!
"infernal_ritual"
It is constant blasting and constant double bass, absolutely boring.

Every one of this band's CD's bleeds pure Death Metal. This one is no exception. Too many blast beats, not enough of this or that ... blah blah blah. I find it hard to believe that all of Krisiun's other releases are all almost 5 star ratings and this one falls short because not enough fans who do think it kicks ass failed to put in the review for the band. These guys are right up there with Nile, Kataklysm, Morbid Angel, Deicide, and more Death Metal giants. Enough said. And don't forget to get their latest, AssassiNation, possibly the best yet.

I've always been a fan of poopy production like Turmoil's album From Bleeding Hands. Krisiun changed the way they sound, when I heard it I couldn't believe they did what they did but it's perfect. The bass drum sounds like the drummer has a double bass pedal hooked up to a garbage can (I love it).
Other than the production, there are some great riffs on this album. Ultimate speed. Just preview the second track and you will be amazed at the riffs in it.
This album is speedy and down right brutal, but thats what you get from a band that grew up listening to Slayer-Show No Mercy and Morbid Angel-Alters of Madness.

this is Death metal of the high-speed, high-quality sort. There are some reasons I won't give this more than three stars. First of all, the production is not as clear as everyone says. The guitar solos are somewhat buried in the mix, and the drums are not as far up in the mix as on the first album. Secondly, even though this is a raging, brutal album, it doesn't even come close to the intesity of Krisiun's debut masterpiece Black Force Domain. Get that first, then this one. This is great stuff, no doubt, but Krisiuns done better before.

why did this album get such a low score, look if all of the other krisiun albums get 5s why not this, it's just more of the same. Blinding speed blast beats, and obvious amount of skill and stamina by the musicians. These Brazilians have definatly earned there reputation. So long story short. If you're even remotely interested in brutal death metal, I recommend you pick this one up, and for that matter, all of the others.

Next the word extreme in the dictionary, shoud be a picture of this unrelentingly brutal, devastatingly barbaric Brazilian black/death metal band. Krisiun play savage black metal, with a drummer that is something to behold. Polyrhythmic rhythms and ferocious blast beats are the main staples of the music, but my God! These guys don't let up for a minute! The opening of "Rites of Defamation" just rips along frenetically and near catastrophically for a minute and a half, before they take a breath and repeat the whole thing over again. Also worthy to mention is the awesome instrumental track "March of the Black Hordes", which takes its sweet time getting revved up but when it does, it just about breaks your spirit. Sitting through this admittedly one dimensional cd may be tough, but if you are a fan of black metal, WITHOUT that moronically screechy vocal delivery, then this is right up your alley. Gains points for a powerful, clear production, and the aforementioned atypical black metal vocal delivery. Krisiun may need to change their approach in the future, but for now, this is one devastating release.

Well, folks, the barbaric brazilians have out done themselves on this release! Apocalyptic Revelation is an insane slab of brutal, and I do mean BRUTAL Death/Black metal! The guitars roar and screech, the drums are super powerful and fast that they pound you into oblivion, the vocals are downright mean & powerful! The vocals are well anunciated, they don't sound like all those other wimpy gore soaked metal bands! This is pure death metal, with a little dose of black metal! This definitely blows alot of bands out of the water! Nile, Angelcorpse, just to name a few. Other bands worth checking out... Centurian, Incantation, Disciples of Mockery, Immolation, SARCOPHAGUS! I look forward to the next onslaught from Thy Mighty Krisiun!

Krisiun play amazingly fast brutal death/black metal! From the first track to the last, this will mesmerize you with it's unholy power! Their Satanic/ritualistic lyrics will fascinate you with each listen. This is Krisiun's best release so far, even better than "Black Force Domain." What else can i say? Buy this! You will not be dissapointed!
