My daughter wanted an overhead projector for her birthday; she loves to play school. This one is nice, not too large. It worked great for a few days and then stopped working. It was only the bulb but it cost us about $22 for a new one. The company wouldn't reimburse us, but they did send us out another replacement bulb right away.

I bought this from Amazon, after looking at a bunch of different models online, and finding that it was hard to tell them apart. The product description for the Apollo 3000 said it worked well in a room with 50 - 100 people, so I figured it would work well in my art studio, where I need to project drawings on a 14 foot high wall, and I can set the projector as far back as 50 feet from the wall.

Maddeningly NONE of the following information was included in the Amazon product description: How far back can you set the projector before it won't focus? How close can you be to the projection screen or wall? What kind of bulb does it take? Does the bulb come with it or do I have to buy the bulb separately? It turns out this projector DOES NOT COME WITH A BULB. And I had no idea what bulb to order, or how much a replacement bulb would cost. Once I had the projector unpacked and set up, which took just about a minute, I had to make a half hour trip to find the bulb at a local Staples, which charged me $30. And I could have got a bulb from Amazon for $5 or $6!

The projector seems to work fine, although it's a little fuzzy when you are 50 feet back from the screen. Focus is NOT the most precise I have ever seen. It is very bright and can easily be used in a room with the window shades left open, which is great. (I am replacing an old Opaque Projector, which was so dim you needed total blackout conditions to use effectively).

I took off two stars due to the poor information provided in the Product Description, and because the manufacturer was too cheap to include a bulb that would have cost them a couple of bucks at most! Otherwise I'm pleased with my purchase.

I have only had the Apollo 3000M for about 6 months and already the bulb burned out. Ordered a new one. Installed it and "poof" burned up on startup. Ordered another and "poof" burned out upon startup. My Office Supply store says its a $60 repair PLUS cost of new $20 bulb. Power supply circuit board with voltage regulator diode....
I am trying to contact the seller "Amazon" but how do I do that?? I feel they should give me a new projector or fix issue for free. Only had 6 months!! I owned a 3M overhead for over 10 years and not ONE issue and only changed the bulb maybe once or twice. Not happy. Where on this site does it show how to contact who sold it to me?? frustrated. Its a good projector other than this issue. I wish it was built more durable and heavier body like a 3M.

I bought this projector to use for projection to trace and then cut out 3 dimensional characters for a mural in my baby girl's nursery. It worked very well for my purposes. The projector was easy to use and assemble. It is lightweight and easy to move.

I researched several projectors before buying this one. This product was a great balance of functionality and price. I recommend it.
