Flesh-Devouring Pandemia

Biography

Haemorrhage was formed back in 1990 by Jose and Luisma. That period last untill the summer of 1991 when the drummer is expulsed, and the band remained… Read more in Amazon's Haemorrhage Store

5.0 out of 5 stars The hint of an evolution..., February 20, 2009

This review is from: Apology for Pathology (Audio CD)
All of the previous Haemorrhage albums have been really lo-fi in terms of production but this one is an exception. This seems really well produced but doesn't sound like it adversely affects the music the way you'd think in this genre. The sound is crystal clear and the band seems to experiment a bit with some well placed guitar solos and even some less then death metal style riffing on the last couple of tracks. They do all of this in short bursts so hardcore fans won't wake up to find something as different as say Heartwork was to Necroticism for Carcass where the sound and the style was almost like night and day. I truly love this band anyway so it was kind of interesting to see this evolution into slightly different territory. Still, this album is pretty much classic groove laden gore grind the way these guys always serve it up. If you like early Carcass worship then you really can't go wrong.
