Although it's over 70 years since this book was first published, it's still worth reading if you are involved in or interested in evangelism. There is no end to the stream of evangelism and "share your faith" courses whereby Christians are told how best to present the gospel - usually in some new method of the author's devising. They all claim to base their model on the preaching of the gospel we see in the New Testament. Save your money and energy, bin them all, and read this. Dodd was not writing to promote some new scheme of gospel presentation. The result is no padding and concise discussion of what the Gospel is (if you think the Miracle/Jesus prayer or some other 20th century formula is it, think again!) according to the New Testament, and how it was preached. If you really want to preach the Gospel message, here's a good place to start leaning how!
