The app is simple enough. Search for your favorite characters from cartoons and color them in. Coloring really just consists of filling in the white space like on Microsoft's Paint, the real value is that one can search for any image using their built in Google image search. I thought it was nifty.

This is a cute coloring (and drawing) app for kids of all ages. Can be a simple time occupier and distractor for real little ones (think, stop your kid from being a noise nuisance to others in restaurants...). All they have to do is tap on a desired color (there are many) and either use the fill bucket to fill larger enclosed areas with color. Or, use the paintbrush to color or write outside the lines. The eraser can be used to remove areas of color. The app is much better with the just-added undo function. Don't worry, kids won't get bored. Not only can they be junior Warhols and redo the same coloring pages with diff. colors, there are lots of downloadable coloring pages for variety. Needless to say the masterpieces can be saved or shared.

The app can also be good to teach colors and color relationships to pre-school and elementary school age kids. For adults it can be a relaxing mellow out activity (about on par with a bubble wrap popper app but you end up with something to show for yourself). I'll have to see if I can use my photos with this. That would be very cool...either to convert them to line drawings then fill. Or go Baldessari and add bold, opaque colors to photos.

Now I'd love a slider to control the transparency of the colors or control the size of the stickers (there may be a way to do this but I haven't found it yet on the Kindle Fire). Overall - well designed. Works well on the Kindle Fire. Recommended.
