This is not a map - though there are some simple maps (line drawings) of the more densely populated town centers, showing all the major points of interest. Excellent reference material for anyone considering a hike on the famous Appalachian Trail. Extensive info on what, when, where, why and how. Get the most recent year you can find, as things change from year to year. Everything you need to know to help make your Trail experience as trouble free and enjoyable as possible. Highly recommended - a must have/must read. Amazon is the place for books.

On our last trek on the Appalachian Trail, this book proved to be a good source for trail info. Loved the great hard data on the parking, shelters and water-sources.

No Way!,

May be a seemingly great book but I could feed myself for weeks on the trail for what the book costs. If you have $1,200 for a paperback book you need to give more to the poor.
