3.0 out of 5 stars Spring Heeled Jack, AWESOME! This Video, Not So Awesome :(, September 17, 2005
This review is from: Mass Appeal Madness Spring Heeled Jack in California [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Spring Heeled Jack is one of the most amazing bands ever to exist. Their cds were awesome, live shows completly insane, and if you ever go to meet them they were great guys. This video doesn't show much of that. The video quality of most of this video is pretty bad. It's like they took every 3 frames and put it together. The audio of most of the live performances is filled with scrathes.
If you are a super SHJ fan, then check out the video. Otherwise just stick to listening to the cds because they do this band much more justice then the video.

5.0 out of 5 stars Spring Heeled Jack - the greatest band ever, November 12, 2001
This review is from: Mass Appeal Madness Spring Heeled Jack in California [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I have had this video since the last show ever for the band in May of 2000. Spring Heeled Jack was one of the most talented bands around, and I wish they could have stayed to together long enough to gain the respect they deserved. The energy of their live shows was better than any other band I have ever seen. It shows how talented they all are when you look at where they are now. Tyler is subbing for Reel Big Fish, Chris is in the Mighty Mighty BossTones, Pete is in Less Than Jake, Ron is in the Lost City Angels, and Dave was in the Pilfers before they broke up too. The video is good, but it doesn't capture teh live show entirely because it is filmed on the west coast where they were not as well known. There was nothing like a SHJ show in New Haven, CT.
