I can't understand a single word the lead singer is saying but I don't care. The music is infectious. And I'm still not sure why I like this album so much. I'm a huge Rush/Yes fan and this band doesn't exactly fit in with my CD collection. Like the other reviewer, I found this band via Colbert Report. After seeing them on that show, I'd love to see them live. The music is very energetic and refreshing. It's a rare CD in my collection that does not contain at least one song that I skip. Even the Yes CDs! But, I enjoy this CD all the way through. I especially like the track "Fel del av gården". It's the kind of song that makes you want to bend your head down a little, swing your arm back and forth snapping your fingers. Other tracks I really enjoy include "Swing för hyresgästföreningen", "Tom Jones", "Äppelknyckarjazz", & "Vals på Vinkelgränd". But, like I said before, I don't skip anything on this one. You can listen to a few songs on their MySpace page: [...]. Give them a try. Like me, this might be the first new CD you've purchased in ten years!

It's possible the best music I have heard in a while. I can't stop listening. The beats are original and catchy. Each song induces a different sound. Most of all I enjoy the fact that its not in English, it makes it that more fascinating.

Seldom have I bought an album where it sounds like the band are having so much fun. Perhaps they are exploring deep political and social issues, but without a word of Swedish I couldn't tell, and I don't care. Even the premise of Swedish hip hop swing is absurd, but Movits! pull it off with style and verve. Appelknyckarjazz stands apart in its own class from most of the boring music that comes off the assembly line these days. My favourites are Fel Del Av Garden, Kassel-blues, Epistel N:01 and 2 Dollar Pa Ficken, but every track is worth a listen.

My New Favorite Thing,

This cd took a while to get imported, but it was worth the wait. If you're worried that you'll enjoy the music less because of the language barrier, think again. It's just so infectious that it matters less with each second that there are maybe three English words in the whole shebang (my personal favorite: Jazz hands!). I do wish I knew what they were singing about--especially since the title track's video features a man being chased through an orchard by bearded nuns--but it's still incredibly entertaining. They appeal to a very wide audience, but I particularly recommend this cd if you like 3rd wave ska, underground rap, or indie music.

I, like many, about busted my blue jeans jumping off the sofa to dance to this music! Too fun! The entire album is similar to what was heard on the Colbert Report.

I'm one of those guys who is constantly saying that all new music stinks (although it's not entirely true, but I find myself listening more to my older stuff than most of the music produced in the 21st century), but as soon as I heard these guys, it restored my faith in humanity! OK, maybe that's giving any band too much praise... but this is definitely something new that you haven't heard before. Very addictive and this album is part of my regular rotation now. Keep an open mind and check 'em out!

Intelligent, incredible, addictive music. The swedish hiphop lyrics sound like a very rhythmical lead instrument. A must hear!
