I give this CD 4 stars because only a great CD should get 5 stars. There is no formula music here. This is REAL music, that expresses real thoughts by normal folks.
There is one great song on here that all the so called adult contemporary stations should be playing. This song is called THE MOON. All the other songs are good with HESITATION, SOFTEST LIPS and FOR DA LOVE OF DA GAME being very good in my opinion.
How times have changed. Once upon a time rap, gansta rap and hip hop were underground and ignored by mainstream. Now real music is underground and ignored by mainstream.
This is a very good CD - buy it if you like good music - real music!

As a teenager growing up in the nineties in the D.C. Area I can recall hearing Eric Roberson's first single The Moon back in 1994 on local DC radio stations. Fourteen years later I discovered this talent again and I have to say he truly is in a class by himself. For one to appericate Mr.Roberson you have to see him live. I had the chance to see Mr. Roberson at the begining of the year and I was througly impressed, espically when he sang The Moon followed by a sernade of the classic Prince slow jam Adore. The songs you'll find on this CD include the sensual Sofest Lips and the heartfelt Momma Told Me. All in Eric Roberson never had the chance to shine and in today's music world he could easily hold his own against R.Kelly or anyone else in the R&B field today.

AFTER PURCHASING HIS LATEST CD(LEFT), I THOUGHT I WAS ON TOP OF THINGS. HOWEVER AFTER LISTENING TO THE APPETIZER,I REALIZED THAT I WAS WAY OFF.THIS ALBUM IS WARM,SENSUAL, AND SEXUAL; BUT IN A VERY CLASSY WAY. I PLAY THIS CD MORE THAN HIS LATEST. IT'S A SHAME AN ARTIST OF THIS CALIBER ISN'T GETTING MORE SPINS. BUY THIS CD AND YOU WILL BE LIBERATED.

This is very nice laid back music for you to listen too or to romance your mate.

I bought his album Left before I purchased this and I just simply fell in love with it. Then I went to iTunes and seen "Appetizer" and was like oh my goodness, I'm swooning over this one! I found out about him in 2006 but he's been around since like the early 90's or something. This guy has true TALENT and it's such a shame that radio, televsion etc. "sleeps" on him. If you love some REAL R&B, you need to buy this album. I see he has others and I'm going to buy those as well since I see the reviews are good....

This man's talent is incredible! After hearing him on internet radio, I purchased The Vault,vol. 1.5 from there it was on!! I like the way he combines words to the music... it just flows. I don't understand why I don't hear him on mainstream radio cause he has more talent than a lot of what's being played and better still has "staying power" that promises to stand the test of time.

Enojoyed this cd very much. Really giving you a taste of what Eric ROberson has to offer for an eargasm for ones ears. Would order form this seller again.

In my opinion this is Eric Roberson's best work to date. Music is very soulful. Not a weak song on the entire album.

It's not as good as I thought it would be, but an OK Eric Roberson CD is still better than the BEST CD from most of these clowns out today!

If I didn't already have the song, it would have been worth the money just to have "Just a Dream" in my collection. Beautiful song!

Eric Roberson, is the main course today.. if you havent heard from this writer, producer, singer, instrument player, then you are doing yourself a diservice, if you have loved, and your mate left you broken hearted, and you do not have the strenght to move forward, i would recommend you get this edifying brother to soothe your soul, your pain will gradually ease itself away.. as i end any commentary i write about brother Erro, i always like him to know who wrote this cause i have had the pleasure to meet him & his parents..
