2.0 out of 5 stars Must Be Logged Into Amazon App Store To Run November 17, 2012
Verified Purchase
This is a great calender app for phones and but not so good if you need to use it on a tablet while away from an internet connection. That's because it stores your calendar on the Amazon cloud and if you aren't connected and logged into the app store it won't run. I understand the reason, they do it so that you can share calendars between devices but it's a poor choice. The right way to do it would be to store the calendar locally and sync it with a cloud based calendar when connected. That's the right way to do it and if they start doing that I'll start using it again. In the meantime I'm removing it from my Nexus 7.

1.0 out of 5 stars Great app, but doesn't work without a connection. January 11, 2013
Verified Purchase
It used to be great but now when I go to a meeting and don't have an internet connection, I can't use the app! This is ridiculous. Many of the Amazon apps are pulling this stuff. A great reason to not purchase apps here anymore. Yes, I have the full version.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great product, not updated version December 6, 2012
Verified Purchase
This is an amazing calendar, however, the Amazon app store is not carrying the most updated version of Business Cal (1.4.1.3). The most updated version is supposed to be compatible with Kit Kat. This version, 1.3.2.3, is not compatible. So if you are buying this great App from Amazon, rather than another app store, the widget will not work on your phone.

1.0 out of 5 stars Internet Needed??!! December 4, 2012
By Don
Verified Purchase
I can no longer open this app. It just repeatedly gives me a popup saying "Internet Needed, Please connect to the internet to run this app". I am connected to the internet, I can check email, browse the internet and use any other internet based app but this one. I can even open the Amazon App store and browse in there. I have even rebooted my phone and the app still will not work. I don't know what you guys did, but fix it! BTW, why is this thing requiring an internet connection to begin with? My calendar data is synced locally and handled by Goggle, so I see no reason why internet needs to be required for this app to work. What am I supposed to do when in airplane mode?

I really, really like this app. Now, all of a sudden, it's giving me a nag screen saying I HAVE to be logged in to the appstore in order to use the app, every time I launch it. What kind of crap is that? I bought the full version. What right does Amazon have to require I be logged in??? It's a bunch of bullcrap.

1.0 out of 5 stars This app used to be great, but now it's annoying. February 18, 2013
Verified Purchase
This app used yo be great, but after recent updates I am now forced to log into the Appstore before each use. Very annoying to have to login just to look at my calendar or add an appointment.

1.0 out of 5 stars Unusable Without Logging Into Amazon App Store February 27, 2013
Verified Purchase
I love the app, but buying it through Amazon App Store forces me to login to Amazon App Store in order to work. So if I don't have a network connection or go into Airplane Mode then my calendar is not accessible. Amazon credited the cost of the app so now I'm going to delete it and then buy it grom Google Play.

I like how it looks better, and it seems to have more options, but then again I'm not a pro user of either app.

Business Calendar (App) won't work unless logged in to App store.
It's not the fault of this app, it's actually the fault of the Amazon appstore being very buggy right now. It is not keeping you logged in. In order for Amazon to enforce their DRM, they require that you have their appstore installed on your device and that you be logged into the account used to... Read more
