This product is every bit as good if not better than I remember from my teens! It really took me back to sitting in front of the television watching Batman and enjoying Appian Way pizza with a giant RC cola. The sauce is unbelievable!
Thanks for making this favorite product from the 60's available to the new generation (and old ones too)!

I got away from making homemade pizza because I couldn't find Appian Way in area stores. Had used it for years, as had my mother (before the widespread popularity of frozen, delivered, and by-the-slice kiosks.) Finally directed my search to Amazon. Bought a box of 12 in January and it's almost gone. Best sauce ever!

Has been a favorite of mine since I was growing up. If you are going to make a pizza from a mix this is it! I only didn't give it 5 stars because they seem to be skimping on the wonderful sauce that comes with it.

This is the best pizza mix on the market. I can remember my Grandma making homemade pizza from Appian Way when I was a little girl. I have been using this mix myself for over 30years.

I grew up in the midwest and this is the ONLY kit my mom and I used to make pizza. I loved it then and bout fell over when I found it here for a whole case on Amazon. I make a pizza a week and keep this in stock at all times. Sending a case to my Mom in NC. You cant go wrong with it....just add your favorite toppings and a generous amount of cheese. I like the mexican style shredded cheese on mine. One word describes it everytime! YUMMY!

It has been years and years since I bought Appian Way Pizza. The nostalgia value was nice but as to actual flavor... Well I won't be reordering. The sauce was way too peppery. It needed some brown sugar and tomato paste to correct the taste. The crust was biscuit like. If it was baked to get to crispy, it became dry and cracker like. If I tried to leave the crust baked like a soft, deep dish, style pizza, it remained too doughy. The box photos and graphics were amusing and just as I remembered them. However the ingredients for my next home baked pizza will be coming from elsewhere.

I was making this pizza for my wife once a week for years and could only get them at a little store in west Odessa. Just got the case in and it made her happier than getting a new car or house. These pizzas are awesome and cant even be compared to any other boxed pizza or frozen pizza. They taste amazing and taste like a true homemade pizza. We will be ordering regularly.

No, this will not compare to your favorite pizzaria, but it will out do nearly every frozen pizza and those hot and ready pizzas. It is quick to make, from box opening to eating can take as little as 20 minutes. The crust is better if you make it on the thin side rather than comparing to a thicker yeasty pizza dough. I add a little corn oil for extra flavor. The sauce is a liitle spicy with a peppery taste so you really do not want to put it on too thick. And if you don't put it on too thick there is plenty in the kit. What is really great about this pizza is the low cost and quick prep time compared with anything else you can find. Plus it shares the advantages of home made pizza in controlling the toppings. You can divide up sections and add whatever different people want. And you can load it up with multiple toppings - something that can get expensive at a pizzaria.

Does it taste like it did 40 years ago? Does Coke Classic? Of course--not! Coke was sugar 40 years ago and corn syrup today. Was Appian pizza good 40 years ago? Yes. Is it good today? Yes.
