5.0 out of 5 stars Contains the best grouping of pieces! February 3, 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
These pieces are all loved by both the students and their audience. Demand some technical skill, but within reach of good students. Love this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting pieces, not too hard. November 9, 2013
By Kelid
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I bought this book for Praeludium in E Minor by Mendelssohn. There are a couple of good pieces in here, and some that I haven't tried yet, but Praeludium is beautiful, strong, and a showy piece, and I like it very much. The Applause books are fun, in general, and have a good blend of things to try out. I suggest looking at the table of contents, and running it through a youtube search, to get an idea of what the pieces will sound like when you've learned them.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fantastic collection! January 11, 2014
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This book has so many amazing pieces! I am sometimes annoyed by collections that have one or two great pieces and a bunch of less appealing pieces, but this collection is well worth purchasing! My daughter has played almost everything in the book, and my son is anxious to play the same set of pieces because he loved them so much when she played them! My daughter has been a serious piano student for 7 years. These are not simple, but are well worth the effort.

5.0 out of 5 stars Applause TWO August 11, 2014
By Rebecca
Another great collection of shorter piano solos. In particular, there are several favorites: Grieg's WEDDING DAY AT TROLDHAUGEN, Mussorgsky's HOPAK, and two Heller favorites that students enjoy learning. This is a great book for teaching as well as for brushing up on skills that have gotten rusty.
