Applause acoustic guitars have always been my brand of choice. I've played some good music with their line over the past 26 years, because of the depth of sound, and overall durability. Their acoustic products are ideal for the novice player through intermediate, or even professional. This model handles well, but can take some getting used to. I'm anxious to get one of their electric acoustic models soon, as my next project calls for a certain sound. I know that I can trust their reliable product once again. For under $200.00, one can really enjoy the world of guitar without breaking the bank.

This is one of those "best kept secrets". A "cheap" guitar with a world class sound. A bit hard to play while standing due to the famous Ovation/Applause bowl shaped back, so it'll take a while to get sued to it. But it sounds better than several high-end famous brand guitars right out of the box

This guitar is one of the best I've ever owned. No buzzing, easy to play, and has the Ovation ring. I would highly recommend this for whatever stage player you might be, beginner to pro. Great guitar to travel with at an unbelievable low price. The quality for under $200 is the deal of the year.

This is a great guitar. I bought one for my girlfriend, as she had an Applause when she was a kid and thought it was the greatest thing since steel strings. It has to be one of the easiest acoustics to play (slim neck, easy action), and the sound is very nice. Quality and finish are unbelievably good for a guitar of this price. It even stays in tune. I enjoy playing the Applause as much as my Yamaha that cost more than twice as much.

The Ovation Applause AA21 is totally awesome! I got this guitar a month ago and have found it to be my favorite ever. It's sleek, beautiful, and makes great sound. Even though it's very inexpensive, the Applause plays comparably to much higher-priced guitars by Ovation or Ibanez. I totally recommend this guitar for anyone who appreciates a quality instrument.

I bought this Ovation for my graandson at Christmas he loves it, it plays great, it does need better strings over all id give it an A.

We are beginners at guitar. This guitar is far better than the Fender package we got for $70, though that one included a cheap gig bag, spare strings, some picks, and a video. This one is much much louder. When you sound a string you keep hearing it for a long time. It stays in tune for a couple of weeks at a time, using an online tuner with a microphone to test it. The strings aren't as hard to push on, though when I push far from the fret I think it's more likely to buzz.

It's a real guitar, not a cheap imitation. Maybe when we get good at guitar we might decide we can get guitars for $300 that are better, or we might decide that a $1000 guitar is enough better to be worth the money. Right now I can't tell it from a $1000 guitar in the music store. I like it.

I purchased this guitar for a family member who has been a musician for years, he hasn't had a new guitar for years and thought I would give this a try. So this reveiw is coming more from a musician of 50 years, he took it out of the box and tuned it in seconds and started to play a song, I was amazed what a great product, you can't go wrong with the price, it sounded amazing!! And a flawless finish it's just a beautiful instrument, you really can't go wrong!!!

This guitar is an awesome buy. It is easy to play and has a wonderful sound for the price. Thumbs up!

I just received this guitar and I am in utter disbelief about how wonderful it is!!! For $126.22 shipping included, I have a beautiful guitar that is every bit as good as the original Ovation Balladeer circa 1968. I really can't get over the quality of this guitar; I have yet to find something that I don't like about it. If you are even remotely considering buying this guitar in the future, buy it today as I am sure they will not last at this price once people play one for themselves and see the extreme quality that this instrument offers.
