I have wanted an iPod for a long time, and was planning on getting the 20gig B&W. Not that there's anything wrong with the 20gig version, but for just a few dollars more, you can get the 30gig version. There is apparently no difference between the HP version, and since everyone seemed to be sold out of the Apple version, I purchased an HP version. I have not put any pictures on the iPod, but its nice to know you have the capability of doing so. I apprecite the color screen, even if it is just for making the music slelection. The include iTunes software is pretty awesome. It took a little time to copy almost 300 CD's to my computer, but the iTunes interface between the computer and the iPod always updates the iPod with no hassles. I have used about 17gog, so, with the 30gig iPod, I will never have to worry about running out of space. The iPod is also very versatile. I hav an adaptor to play it through my boom box, and an adaptor to play it through my car's cassette player. It makes long drives very bearable. Finally, I like the way the iPod autmatically organizes all of your music, by artist, composer, genre, album, etc...... The shuffle function, and the playlists are also great. This is one of my best purchases.

If there were more than 5 stars, I would give it a higher mark. This unit is awesome, music sounds great. I don't have a complaint in the world on this ipod. Amazon has a good price on this compare to other places I checked. I've had a number of people check out my ipod and they all say this is nice.

I received an HP apple Ipod for xmas in 2004..granted it is not this newer model it is only the 20G. However my ipod has now broken three times...and each time HP has glady sent me another which in turn has also broke. I am now going on my fourth one in 13 months. Since HP offers such great customer service they will only give me a refurbished Ipod which I am sure will break shortly once again. Be careful when purchasing a product from them.

The biggest purchase-mistake I ever made!!,
This review is from: Apple 30 GB iPod Photo from HP (Electronics)
The batterie of the ipod-hp 30GB gave up within the FIRST month,
and I didn't even use it very frequently. The support by HP is pretty annoying - by asking 3 service people about the conditions on replacing that thing, I got 3 different answers -- my recommendation: stay away from overprized ipods and if you should get one maybe take the original apple ones, but never decide to get an ipod from HP!!!

My second IPOD in 2 years broke only weeks after the warranty ended. The apple store told me my only option was to buy a new one. Now why would I do that if the previous two broke after only 1 year? Cause they want to make MONEY!! Not make customers happy. There are many other brands that are better than Apple. And for goodness sake, don't pay retail for one. Get one used for half the price if you absolutely have to have an IPOD.

I just got an Apple + HP 20gig iPod, yes I realize that this is the 30 gig site, but I couldn't find the page for the 20 that was Apple and HP. I tried installing the iTunes into my Windows ME and it didn't work, it said that I needed to upgrade to either Windows 2000 or Windows XP. Now I'm thinking about buying a new computer from Apple, does anyone know if my iPod will work on an Apple as well as a Windows?
