I bought this device a bit skeptical. At only $20 I wasn't expecting much but I figured it couldn't hurt checking out since my local retailer was asking $80 for a similiar (brand name) product.

I've been using it for the past week and I have to say this device has far exceeded my expectations.

The quality of the sound is great, it's super easy to use (plug it in press on and then scroll up or down to set it to an FM station that isn't being used by a local radio station), and the price is outstanding.

I'd highly recomend this product to anyone who owns an ipod.

I have been using my Ipod transmitter for the past couple weeks with my 3rd gen 8G Nano and I really like it. It provides good and reliable sound- think radio sound, not stereo sound - if you remember that, then it is a great item. I get very little static and only infrequently. I am happy with it and it definitely didn't break the budget.

The item worked alright for a while. It was picking up some annoying static from the alternator or something, but all in all it seemed like a bargain.

I was really really careful with not to bang the thing around, because it was obviously cheaply made. Despite my caution, it just stopped working one day (about a month after I started using it)...oh well...not like I didn't know I was taking my chances at this price.

Product not exact to picture, but close enough. The concept for the product is wonderful; charger, FM transmitter, remote and holder for the iPod. Well Since the screen for the FM transmitter is not as pictured the remote does not pick up sensor unless the entire product is facing downward. Once again I would just recommend the Griffin iTrip. It might not have a remote but it works perfectly.

for some reason when i plug in the transmitter, i turn on and nothing happens happens.. do i need batteries?

The broadcast signal was too weak for anything approaching decent quality, the unit didn't like to stay in place in the socket and had a tendency to just want to dump the iPod out on the floor, rendering it rather unhelpful. A real pain to deal with, in general.

I bought this product and it worked for maybe the first two weeks and from there it just went down hill. At first I the weight of my IPOD must of been too heavy for it because it would never sit up straight. Then it would cut in and out and out of no where it stopped working! I was too angry with it all!

Good sound, but it doesn't work with an IPod touch (the description says it does.) Won't charge the Touch, it doesn't fit in the holder either. Gonna have to keep looking for a good transmitter.

Yes, this unit transmitted properly to my fm radio, but it was very cheaply made and destined not to last long. Also, the lighter adapter is so long that my shifter was hitting the unit when I was in first gear. I returned this and bought the belkin tunebase, which is a much nicer unit.

Worked fine for a couple of weeks, then it just stopped broadcasting.
I had to buy an extension cord because of the position of the cigarette lighter in my cars. The plug for the cigarette lighter is connected to the back of this device and the iPod stands vertical. May be great on some cars, but not on any of mine.
