I wish the seller (VIBECELLUAR) had told me before i bought the item that it was a cheap imitation. Only reason i originally gave them a five star and a good comment was because the item broke down a little after i had given them the rating and the comment. Don't fall for it it is a cheap imitation people, you'll just be throwing your money away.

If this isn't a 'real' Apple product, it's a good fake--to be honest, I can't tell...but I can tell you it fried my 2nd g iPod touch! Thankfully, the iPod is still under a service agreement, so I'll get a new one, but talk about a hassle! I can't help but feel that this was a fake sold to me.....I have a feeling the seller would not accept my return, and I guess, thankfully (!), since it was so cheap, I probably won't go to the hassle of trying to get my money back......I will buy another charged--but the real-deal $30 one FROM an Apple retail store AND, I'm going to plug in my iPod right there in the store just in case......

Piece of crap... broke on first use... would not take it if it were handed out for free...

i just got mines today and when i went to try it out it burnt my ipod! i left it plugged in for 2 minutes and it almost cought on fire... now my ipod doesnt work and the product seller wont replace it.DO NOT buy from this seller!!! they sell USED items as new!!! *now i have no ipod :( *

Product arrived broken. The seller, VibeCellular, ship it in a thin unpadded envelop. There is no way it could of survived the shipment in an unpadded envelop. Because it broke opened I can see the poor solder - most likely not genuine Apple. It didn't came in a box or with documentation - another reason why I think it is not genuine Apple.

May be if you purchase from seller other than VibeCellular you will have better luck.

I bought the 1 of GENUINE Apple USB Mini Charger OEM iPhone 3G iPod touch shuffle nano video on Dec 11th - got it in about a week however the porduct did NOT work at all! i contacted them and got a response to send it back to their exchange place to recieve a new one. so i did - however i STILL have yet to recieve Any communication or a new USB mini charger! i have tried emailing them i cant find a number - i am very upset with this company - they seemed to be interested in helping at first but i have not gotten any response positive OR negative. my advice DO NOT Buy from them - its been 2 months and i STILL have not gotten it resolved!

This adaptor fried my Touch 3g. I was frantic, but Apple did replace it without question because it was still under warranty. I have a couple of non Apple products that this works well on, but I have now ordered the genuine Apple charger. It's just not worth losing such a valuable item to save a few bucks on the charger, even though I think Apple is way overpriced for their accessories.

I bought one of the new (not recalled) units which included the green dot meaning that it was made AFTER the recall. One of the prongs broke off into the socket the second week I owned it (May 2010). I had nothing rubber to get it out with because I am on vacation so a hotel maintenance worker had to come remove it. I ignored the past problems of this charger and assumed that the new ones would be fine. Don't make the same mistake.

The design is nice and works well with 2G Ipods but not with my 3G iTouch :(

I don't use this for my iPhone. I got this for my other USB device - USB Speakers (BXR1220 Portable speakers). It works fine and the build quality is OK. Its OK for the price.
