I was very wary of buying a composite cable for my iPhone, not knowing if it would work with the 3GS, or with the 3.0 software. This cable works! It plugs into the yellow/red/white ports on your TV, and has a USB port for power. I bought mine for use with my car stereo (JVC KW-AVX710 7-Inch In-Dash Double-DIN CD/DVD/MP3/iPod Bluetooth-Ready Touchscreen Receiver) using a USB car charger (Scosche Dual USB Car Charger) and, except for the very minor inconvenience of having to control my movies through the iPhone and not on the screen, I havent had a single problem yet. In fact, I am buying another for home use!

After reading other reviews here I purchased this with some hesitation. However, I was quite pleased to find that it worked perfectly with my IPOD Touch 2G with 2.2 firmware. Despite other reviews the cables fit fine into the composite inputs on my Sony TV. I can't guarantee that they will work on every RCA jack on every TV but at least on my TV they were fine.

I was hesitant after reading reviews that said that the RCA end connectors would not fit properly and are to tight.
While I found them to be a snug fit, they actually went on very easily and felt very sturdy. I would concur that the Cable itself is a bit thin and it certainly is not something you want to pull on to hard but I suspect that was done deliberetly so that the Light weight Iphone is not being pushed around by a stiff heavy cable.
The output from the iPhone was excellent, it really did surprise me how well it reproduced the video's I had. I converted my Dark Knight DVD using a conversion program and it produced a 1.6 GB quicktime file that played back via my iPhone with almost the same quality as the orginal DVD.
I am impressed, I just wish the price was lower, it's very expensive for what it does.
