I purchased two of these cables (order fulfilled The OEM Shop), and instead of receiving Apple cables as the description says, I received two cables that were cheap knock-offs that didn't even work (they looked real, but Apple verified they are not). The seller refunded the price of the cables, which if you add in shipping costs equated to about refunding half my money.

I have since then tried ordering "Apple" cables from two other sellers and received counterfeit cables (that didn't work) both of those times as well. I suggest saving time and money and just order from Apple directly.

Just a heads up: I ordered this from "dream bargains" and I didn't receive the official "Apple" ipod cable, like the description says. It was a bootleg cable not made by Apple. It seems to work fine, but it you're looking for the "official" Apple cable this isn't it.

I knew the price was too good to be true. This cable is NOT an original Apple product and does not work with my iPhone. Bought from SF Planet. Was only $4 or so for two of them, so hardly worth my time to contact them for an RMA and then have to pay for shipping to return it. Beware of seller and DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM if you want to protect your Apple device!

Yes, this is the original cable made my Apple in their pretty packaging. I am replacing a cable that this bad on a 1st generation iPod Nano. In case you are thinking you have a bad cable, the iPod wouldn't charge, Windows didn't know I plugged anything in and the Nano would reboot over and over. With this new cable, it works great.

The cable works just like the one I received when I purchased my Ipod. My original cable stopped sending information. The new cable transfers music quickly.

How hard is it to manufacture an exact bootleg of a connector? Apparently too hard for these guys (or their supplier).
This is poorly fitting junk. You're better off going to the Apple Store and paying full bust out retail rather than risking damage to your device.

Other companies are ripping some people off. I bought my cable from ERAIN. I got the official apple cable for 5O cents on time. It just depends on the seller.

I ordered this cable for my Ipod a few moths ago, along with an actual Apple made cable. I've been using the real cable for a while, but I didn't know where it was so good thing I had a back up in my desk right? Wrong. I took this cable out of its little wrapper, and plugged it in. It didn't work so I pulled it out of the ipod only to have it fall apart in my hands. First use ever and it broke. I would not recommend getting anything that's not made by Apple. The one that was shipped to me was not, and like I said, is a POS.

Freshly opened, it wouldn't plug into my iPhone. I had to try it a few more times before it "click" and finally fit. This product worked for exactly 10 days, then it died. If I leave it plugged into my phone for an hour, it MAY decide to work sometime during that period. DON'T BUY THIS!

This cable is a cheap replacement (not made by Apple) for the original Apple cable but it works fine with our iPod Touch. It looks nothing like the product image which is misleading and should be changed.
