5.0 out of 5 stars Great for the iTouch!
I bought these specifically for my Ipod Touch, 2G. Sound quality is good, they are basically the standard Ipod ear buds. If you're interested in making Voip calls through your touch, then these are a must. I use them for making phone calls through Skype (using the Fring app). They work perfectly out of the box (and yes, it is hard to open!) I called my husband's cell...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not original, May 2, 2010
This headphones are not original. Yes, they look like original, but if you look carefully, they aren't, just in little things. And no bass, sound is cheap. Sound in both 2G headphones that came with iPhone and original iPod headphones (with +/- buttons) is not just different, it's WAY better. So i have to decide there earphones are not original.

I also wrote an email to seller - no answer.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not "Apple" Brand, November 20, 2009

My order was a cheap knockoff shipped direct from Hong Kong (seriously) that has a mic, but no controls on the promised pod. This was not Apple brand and should not be advertised as Apple.

1.0 out of 5 stars Biggest Ripoff on Amazon, May 13, 2010

This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had ordering anything on Amazon. This company gives Amazon a bad name. I ordered two sets so I can have an extra one, both looked new and package well. However, both units do not work correctly at all. These are not OEM anything, they are just cheap knockoffs and do not work correctly at all. Tons of feedback and echoing caused by these devices. Stay away, far away. Save your money.

1.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY, April 10, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I received the item fine. After two or three days of use one of the ear buds began to fall apart. So I crazy glued it. No big deal. After a few more days of use I noticed the button does not function properly. It does not rewind or fast forward and only pauses a third of the time. Sometimes I can only hear sound from one of the earbuds. OMG!! I should have went over to the Apple store and bought real Apple product because this is not a quality item. I don't know if this is a refurb, a reject, or a knock off, but it's not the quality I'm used to.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not Satisfied, May 2, 2010

I had to wait an extra week for them to get my address right and when they actually sent it to me, it was with the original address I had given them. It took a week and a half to recieve it once it was ordered, and I live in Manhattan. The shop is based in Brooklyn. Then when I used the headphones, they only worked in one ear, and they were counterfeit apple headphones. I compared them with a friends that had gotten his at the Apple Store, and the colors weren't even right. I would not recommend this seller at all.

4.0 out of 5 stars Unexpected, February 11, 2010

Different from the original ones that come with my iPod Touch.

Came with earphone socks, which is nice, but the material that makes up the cords look and feel different from the original,

3.0 out of 5 stars Functions don't work on iPhone 3G, August 20, 2009

OK, if I had really dug around I would have noticed this before purchasing -- the volume controls don't work with the iPhone 3G (and according to the Apple page I have since discovered, neither does the mic input).

So it's more or less useless to me since the mic and volume control are the two useful features of having a headset with my iphone (I use it to listen to music on the bus, answer phone calls while walking, etc). This seems to be the standard Apple iPhone headset, at least that's available via Amazon -- yet its key features don't work for the largest portion of iPhone users?!

Stupid move by Apple. Avoid if you have a 3G. I know it's at the end of the details about the headset, but I'm sure that I'm not the only one who might guess that the remote and mic might actually work on "Apple Earphones with Remote & Mic"

1.0 out of 5 stars Great... if you plan on using it for just 2 months!, October 23, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic (OLD VERSION) (Electronics)
I got these headphones as a replacement for my iPhone headphones, those lasted for about 10 months. These only lasted 2 months!

Sound quality wasn't that bad but it wasn't great either, ease of use was ok but after only 2 months of regular use they started acting up. I'd get calls and I could answer them but they couldn't hear me on the other end. I didn't expose them to water, pull them, yank them, twist them or put them in a position where they would become damaged. So, what's up with these headphones! And also, it's not like they're [...] bucks each! For $[...] + I should get some quality in exchange don't you think?

Now I need to replace this piece of crap and get me some headphones that work and last. I strongly suggest you stay away from these headphones if you plan on using them for more than 2 months.
