I was kind of leery that this would work because the housing is plastic but WOW! You do have to apply a fair amount of elbow grease but it really slices right through the apple. Caution - blades are VERY sharp and best used only by adults. Great product!

First use was fine. Second use the handle cracked. Third use it fell apart in my hands. Nothing more has to be said other than it's junk.

i was a bit dissappointed because it arrived packaged normal but the product itself didn't look newly made.
where it looked like tiny screws were put in i noticed rust spots. it's easily cleaned with brillo pads but it didn't look that great when it first came. it does do it's job with a little bit of elbow grease like what the other reviewer wrote. next time i'll invest more and get a better quality one.
