Great way to get around with your PowerBook,
By
This review is from: Apple Incase Sling Pack (Graphite) (Personal Computers)
I use a 17" PowerBook for work, and decided to purchase one of these. I've traveled extensively with briefcase-style laptop bags, with over-the-shoulder straps, and I find them to be way too uncomfortable. This bag is much better, and my wife thinks it's the coolest case she's ever seen. The main compartment has a surprising amount of room--you wouldn't know it just from the product photo. It has a padded area for the PowerBook, and fits a 17" model with no problems. There are also other pockets for whatever you want to put in them. All the zippers have rubber grips, and the internal pockets are designed so that the zipper (when the pocket is zippered shut) will not scratch your laptop. I find the "sling" style (over one shoulder and under the other arm) took a little getting used to, but I like it. I find the case to be comfortable. Putting this on and taking it off will take a little practice, but not much. You can either use the buckle, or leave it buckled and put it on like you would any other sling--over your head. The one thing I've noticed is the strap needs occasional re-tightening. Other than that, I've no complaints. Let me tell you what I frequently carry in mine: 17" powerbook, power adapter, external 2.5" FireWire drive, FireWire cable, USB flash drive, paper, pens. And there's room left over. I would think that most people would have plenty of room for the essentials and then some, unless they're the type that has to travel with lots of bulky items. There are zippered pockets all over this thing--lots of storage for papers or other flat items.
