This is my first Mac and it's really just an expensive experiment. I still have to use my two other windows machines to get most of my work done because, as much of a pleasure as the Mac is to use, it's not worth re-purchasing of a ton of software. One thing I am still happy about is the price I paid at Amazon. I had been watching the prices for six months and a brick and mortar store (rhymes with Test Fry) put it on sale the week of Thanksgiving. Amazon's prices can change by the minute and for about two hours, the price dropped as low as it had ever been and matched the Test Fry price. Even though I can't use it for work much, I am still glad I made the purchase. The best features to me are the multiple desktops, the swipe gestures, and the seamless way they work together. Also, the way it works with Apple TV is nothing short of amazing. The more Apple products you have, the more it sense it makes to acquire more. And lets face it, reading these reviews isn't really going to sway you on the product, only on where you purchase it. And with my Amazon Prime membership (the best $79 I've spent in years) buying it here was a no-brainer. $3.99 got it here overnight. Any repairs are going to have to be made by Apple anyway and who wants to deal with a pretentious "Apple Genius". I prefer "Google Genius". Oh, and a Book Book is worth the price. They sell that here too.

Ok i've been a PC for years....mostly because I couldnt afford a mac. so when I had the money to buy one I bought other things instead....a 700 laptop and some extra stuff with it. but now that im starting a business I needed something that was reliable because my laptop started to slow down horribly.....so that when I remembered...ive never heard of a mac slowing down or crashing after a few months ( replaced my pc hard drive after about a year). so I saw this one didnt know much about them but bought the newest version on the first buy....I did a good job lol this mac is awesome. HD graphics, clean and stylish look, built very well, and it even runs on the same internet in the same house almost 3x as fast as my pc and even picks up more signal from the access points than my pc....yea wont say all is great though the whole holding ctrl+left click was a little annoying. had to ask a guy in starbucks how to do it then i learned the double finger click but all in all this mac is awesome. webistires even look better on this thing. im only using this for business basically so Im hoping for some good years with no big problems...total 5 stars on this. full recommendation....probably should have checked apples sight before i bought here but oh well i love it anyway. new box and everything.

I love are 15 inch MacBook Pro! its so easy to use compared to a windows computer! And its SO fast with that i7 processor!

PROS: Its very fast, a great computer for photo editing, a bunch of cool little bells and whistles (like the hot corners and the dashboard....ect!!!)

CONS: Price is a bit ridiculous, kinda heavy (but not to bad by any means.)

CONCLUSION: For anyone who does photo editing this is the computer your looking for, VERY fast and fun!!!

I had never considered buying a Mac because of the high price. However, after having several other Apple devices over the years and enjoying the lack of errors and problems with the devices and the OS's, I gave it more consideration as I approached buying my very first laptop (after having over 20 years experience on desktop PC's). I saved about $300 buying it on Amazon rather than elsewhere (no sales tax, big discount and $3.99 overnight shipping with Prime). The machine is brand new and it came installed with the Mountain Lion OS.
The screen is excellent, it boots up fast. USB 3.0 is very fast. The trackpad works far better than I had anticipated. The gestures are amazing. The OS is very different than Windows, but is not hard to navigate. I store my regular 'Work in Process' documents on Dropbox, so those were a cinch to pull over. I still have to migrate my pictures and music to the machine. All of my bookmarks in Safari that I created over the years on the iPad pulled over seamlessly. The integration with my other Apple products via iCloud is outstanding.

Everything from the box, the instructions, initial setup, downloading and installing software, the navigation of the OS....it all has a consistent and polished look. Before i bought this I felt like I was getting the 'low end' laptop from Apple. After using it for a few days I am in awe of the performance and design. The screen is the perfect size and everything pops on it. It is very thin and quiet! I haven't heard a fan yet. This is money well spent. Thanks!

Update 1: I upgraded my RAM to 8 gigs and this laptop is blazing fast!!! I can't believe it had the impact that it does. If this machine continued to run just like it does now, I won't need to upgrade for years to come. I used the Crucial brand and recommended specs so I don't screw with the warranty.

My new laptop is great. It has so much more speed and the screen is very sharp. Downloads are real fast compared to my netbook, no comparison. I have to admit that the operating system is different and does take time to learn but I like it. I would recommend it to anyone.

I purchase the Macbook Pro 13.3-Inch Laptop about a week ago and the experience has been great. I was a little worry at first because I don't have a lot of experience with os.x and windows has always been second nature to me after many years of using windows. For anybody that feels like switching from windows to apple let me tell you that it took me a couple of days to get used to this operating system but now I love it. First of all, the trackpad on the Macbook Pro is easy to use and after you learn all the gestures to use the trackpad you will see that this is a great way to use you computer. The computer itself is very well built and the keyboard is great to type on for a long period of time. Lastly, bootcamp is one of the main reasons I switch to Macbook Pro because you can run window 7 or any windows operating system you want on your Macbook Pro.

Best laptop ever. Versatile light, a little expensive but 100 times more reliable than a Windows PC. Has never given me any problems I have owned 3, unlike windows which has given me hardware and software issues. Is easily upgradable I have 16gb Ram and 240gb SSD( by the way it screams fast). Is capable of running windows( parallel, or fusion) for those not familiar with OSX. Stunning resolution, with a viewing angle that does no have to be adjusted every time you change direction. Sleek and stylish, fast, and reliable. Definitely worth the investment.
