I bought this as a present for my wife when our old one behan to fade. What an improvement--she loves it. Makes the making of applesauce so much faster and easier

I BOUGHT THIS AS A GADGET GIFT FOR MY WIFE AND SHE TAKES APPLES TO WORK AS A SNACK. SHE ABSOLUTELY LOVES THIS APPLE PEELER/CORER. IT SLICES IN TWO DIFFERENT THICKNESSES AND PEELS PERFECTLY. ABSOLUTELY A MUST HAVE ITEM IN THE KITCHEN.

This product makes it fast, easy and fun to peel apples, pears, etc. Not only does it work quickly, the kids love to help in the kitchen with this fun gadget!
The bases are secure and adhere very well to counter tops.
Plus, it's fun to eat an apple or bake with fruit in spirals. My nieces and nephews love it!

My son loves this machine, especially being one of those kids who hates apple skin. It works great once you get the hang of it. I had a few beginner apple disasters:) You have to maneuver the piece that is peeling the skin while you are turning the crank so that there is not too much pressure on the apple. It takes a little technique, but great once you figure it out.

I don't have one but hopefully will get one for Christmas. I borrowed my mom's and fell in love! It peels, cores and slices all in one. It's very handy and it really cuts prep time down to a minimum. A must buy for all the cooks out there!

I received my apple peeler in only 3 days after ordering and was very pleased with it. I did have a problem with the crank going bad, but, the company assured me they are sending a replacement crank. I could not be happier with this kind of service.

Thought this would be the key to processing many apples for drying. The unit peeled the apples as expected, but the corer lacked consistency. Removed the corer and used it just for peeling.

The ad text says, truthfully, that the device will peel apples, and will core them. What it won't do is peel AND core them, unless you use the feature that cuts the apple into one long strip. So if, like me, you were expecting a quick way to knock out apple pies, or other dishes where apples are peeled, cored, and cut into wedges, you're still going to have to do part of it manually. The Apple Machine-Peeler does make quick work of peeling apples, although it leaves little furrows as it goes, so there's a bit more 'trim' than if you did it by hand. I did like the suction base, which works well and lets you anchor the device in the middle of the counter instead of at the edge, where things are more likely to roll off and hit the floor.

I recieved my apple peeler and I am very pleased with it.

All of these similar apple peeler/corer/slicers are made in China, and work relatively well. It's not exactly rocket science, though the first few times you use one it is impressive, cleaning peeling away the skin.

Works well for applesauce, but for baking I'd leave the skin on myself. Good tool at a reasonable price.
