Apple MagSafe Power Adapter for MacBook Air - MB283LL/A - AC 100-240 V - 45 Watt

I had to return this to the local Apple store after a year of use as the cord cracked near it's entrance to the brick. They did give me a new one without charge and said that this has happened a lot. If you travel a lot do not wind it around the wings that fold out as you will wear out the cord at the insertion.

There are two listings for this product in Amazon. Do yourself a favor and order from the OTHER ONE that says "retail packaging". I ordered from that one last year and the product I received was exactly as I expected. I didn't write a review then, and I'm regretting that decision now because if I had, I would have reminded myself of my good customer experience instead of trying to save a few dollars and ultimately having to write a bad review on Amazon.

There are three parts to the MagSafe Power Adapter - 1) The main body of the adapter, 2) the two-prong insert that attaches to the main body and 3) the three-prong extension cord that attaches to the main body.

Last year under the OTHER seller when I ordered this item, I received all three parts exactly as described.

This year, using THIS seller, I ordered two adapters. You would think that would mean that I would received six parts, but that was not the case. Out of two orders I only had a total of three parts! I received two main adapters (one of which looked used), only ONE two-prong insert and ZERO three prong extension cords.

So, to reiterate my point - DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT FROM THIS SELLER unless you want to be disappointed when you open your package. Instead, do the smart thing and order from somebody else - anybody else.

I bought this to replace my old adapter. The old one had fallen apart on the piece magnetic piece that connects to the computer. I heard that ALL the adapters break at some point under one and a half years. Apple must sure be making a killing on these since they are friggin $80! So far this new one has held up and I hope I won't have to replace it in the near future again. We'll see.

Two things bothered me about this. I expected a new product and this is either refurbished or just used. It has scratches and evidence of use. Also it does not include the cord. I think this should be made clear in the description. I'd rather have paid the extra and gotten one from Apple..brand new with the cord.

Compared to all other laptop chargers out there, this is definitely one of the world's smallest. But as small as it is, I'm with the guy that said it should be thinner. Even though it won't fit in a slim case without bulging out an inch, it fits in your pocket nicely, more so than previous Apple laptop chargers.

This power supply arrived quickly, was packaged sufficiently and works perfectly. Simple, easy, inexpensive! Looks just like the original power supply, so I assume it is genuine Apple

Arrived in good condition with 2 different US plugs. One directly connected to the power supply and one with a cable extension, making it easy to connect even to far away outlet..

They only include the power adapter but THEY DO NOT INCLUDE the 3-pronged extension cord adapter that is supposed to come with this product.

This product worked for my computer for less than a month. Now it will will not charge my computer at all.

Came in a weird box, I was wondering if it as truly apple or aftermarket. It appears to be Apple and works great. Hope it's not refurb. Everything works great, just questionable packaging. Might be how it comes when you buy in bulk. Whoe knows.
