Not bad as a reference, November 12, 2005
This review is from: Apple Pro Training Series: Xsan Quick-Reference Guide (Paperback)
This book is very good for anyone that want's to get started with Xsan. It explains all the terminology associated with Xsan such as MDC, RAID types and fiber terminologies and technologies. This is a very small book (about 130 pages with a lot of pictures) so don't expect this to be the answer to everything Xsan. But this does make a good reference for anyone that has to support Xsans such as consultants because it has some handy charts that show you how much bandwidth you need for a certain video format and how many XRaids you would need to achieve that bandwidth. It also has a good command line chapter that serves as a glorified man page.
At this time, this is the only printed materials for Xsan besides for the books you can get from Apple Training.
