This product worked perfectly for the job--I had to migrate my old settings, documents and other "stuff" from my old mac to my new one. Once I connected the cord, the computers did the rest. My only complaint is that the cord is rather short--only 18" long--a longer one would have been a little more convenient. Having said this, though, the FireWire cable is a great purchase for those who need to transfer data between Macs.

Expensive but high quality. Great for travel or ganging drives. Less wire clutter. Can be found cheaper.
