It's a shame this is currently unavailable because it's the only dock I could find that would plug into the wall and my computer at the same time. It works EXACTLY like I wanted - when my computer is off, it would charge from the wall and when I turned my computer on, it would sync with it. I never had any issues at all, but I upgraded to a 3G and it wouldn't fit in this charger, so I sent the dock off to a new home. If you have a 2G and can find this dock somewhere, I highly recommend buying it!

I Have a iPhone 1st generation and bought as I was tired of charging it with the laptop, this product is small and convient and also charges your iPhone quicker ( Could be just my imgination), but the only downside is that the phone does get a bit warm when left on the charger too long other than that this is a amazin Iphone charger

For the price U cant go wrong with these; I bought 4 and put them all over the house, just make sure that when u cradle iPhone securely to make sure it makes a good connection ;)
