Apple iPod shuffle 1 GB Pink, Clamshell Package (2nd Generation) OLD MODEL

I needed something to help me endure the 3 mile walks to a bus stop where the route is still running after 9 p.m. I chose the shuffle because I didn't want to spend more than $50.00.

I plugged the USB cable that came with the iPod shuffle. After a minute or two, iTunes opened and the picture of my pink shuffle appeared right on the screen. I downloaded songs from iTunes at .99 or 1.29 each. The software syncd the iPod with my computer. Now I have music that I want to hear; instead of coping with wasted minutes hearing boring commercials or boring radio host chatter on the radio.

I don't care about using iTune s with the shuffle. Rhapsody, Imeem, Limewire, or Pandora were never better than iTunes.

Two drawbacks: unless you are really careful, the iPod shuffle is easy to lose. And, if you remove a song from your music library, iTunes will remove that song from the shuffle also.
