Nice addition to Applebee collection,

The shapes book is the fourth book in Applebee pop-up series. In each book Applebee the cat and his mouse friends explore a different concept: opposites, colors, numbers and shapes. These are compact books with rich, vivid colors (particularly the colors book with the mice falling in various pots of paint) and sturdy pop-ups that little hands can work over and over again. My favorite is the opposites book with its innovative paper engineering. The numbers book has an error that is hard to explain to young people learning to count; on the nine page there are only eight mice. All in all a fine series.
