It's a great bible. It is ironic though that on a "large print" bible, the tabs which made the bible more expensive are very small print so they are pretty much worthless. All in all I am pretty happy with it. I would have preferred a color choice or that at least the listing on amazon would indicate the color, which is black.

I gave this Bible 5 stars because contrast to others I have seen this Bible combines several features (large print, thumb index, bonded leather cover) that other manufactures do not have. I was worried about the text size not being large enough but the 11pt. text is plenty big enough for me to read without my glasses ALTHOUGH some of the smaller bullet points to reference sections will require the use of magnification. Let's face it folks, this Bible is 3000 pages and if they made the text any larger the Bible could double as a boat anchor!

There is one feature that I would like to have seen and that being the words of Christ in Red. This Bible does NOT have that and why is beyond me. I have noticed a trend though; other Bibles of this caliber will have the words of Christ in red, large print, chapters in highlighted blue but will NOT have the thumb index. I was willing to sacrifice the words of Christ in red to have the thumb index, which makes looking something up MUCH easier. Nope, if you can find a better Bible with the feature this one has out there BUY IT but until then, I really feel you will be very happy making this Study Bible an addition to your Christian library.

I was disappointed in the "large print" of this purported large print bible. I got it for my mother who is 82 and enjoys reading but can only read large print books. granted this is larger print than your standard bible but not by much.

Bible was what not what I expected because the ordering process was not as detailed as I would have liked. I wanted the Burgandy color and I wanted the words of Jesus in red. I could not locate those details in the ordering process at all.

I love my new bible. It has large print
and lots of explanations of the chapters and verses.
Iread this bible more than I ever did my others.

This is a very good study Bible and the large print is great and being Indexed is nice The 2 I got this time was gifts but I already had one so thats how I know the a great study Bible.

Wow! I was so surprised at how fast the bible arrived at my door. It is a beautiful looking bible with silver index tabs. The maps and footnotes have been updated and the text size was easy to read. If you are a relational person that wants to know how can this particular verse or passage apply to me...than this is your bible. The footnotes have some logic notes, size, amount, time, where, what, etc. but the biggest thing is how it asks you to put the information to your spiritual walk.

The NIV Life Applications Study Bible is very helpful to those of us who want to have a better understanding and be more knowledgable about the bible. I'm so glad I bought it and will recommend it to all of my family and friends.
