The Life Application Study Bible is one of the very best study bibles on the market today with over 10,000 study notes, dozens of character profiles, and much more. I purchased the large print edition of the NIV and found that its 11 point type to be easy to read.

This is a large bible with over 3,000 pages and weighs 4.5 pounds. The bible is very well made (leather bound edition) with excellent paper quality and will last me for many, many years. I use this bible as well as the NKJV bible as my two primary study bibles for bible class preparation.

So, if you're looking for an excellent large print study bible which is accurate, readable, and with great study notes you can't go wrong with the NIV Life Application Study Bible - Large Print Edition.

I had originally ordered a different bible. This one was sent by "mistake". I think God knew I needed this one. I looked it over and quickly decided that rather than return it I would gladly pay for it. I contacted Amazon and they were very nice about straightening out the billing. I love this bible and recommend it it highly for new believers. Especially if you're like me and have difficulty with the KJV. I also appreciate the notes on alternate text references and alternate wording.

I have a few other NIV Bibles but not one of them even comes close to this new LIFE APPLICATION STUDY BIBLE! I LOVE THE LARGE PRINT and all the other great information that is included in this bible. I ordered 2 more of the same bible for my grown up daughters ( 25 and 27) and they love them too! I wouldn't hesitate a minute about buying this WONDERFUL Bible! It's non-denominational in approach. No worries for mainstream Protestant churches. Charismatics and Pentecostals are encouraged to acquire one such copy. Good for a balanced view on major doctrinal stuff.
I found this particular Bible very useful when preparing for one of my exam assignment with a local Bible college.

Very good layouts & Neat concise write-ups too.

One is better advised to purchase the large print version unless he or she has 20/20 vision.

Highly recommend this for all in the laity, perhaps those from the clergy may agree too upon having looked through one such copy

I bought one in November of last year and have used it in church and at home when I really needed a good translation to rely upon. I too, was once a KJV Onlyist until I found the clarity found in the NIV and the footnotes in the Life Application Bible are easy to understand and to apply to our daily walk as Christians.

I was a KJV advocate before I got the NIV Life Application Bible, and now I can finally understand what the Bible means. Not only is the NIV text beautiful and understandable, but the Life Application notes are a must for Christian growth, in that they not only explain the text of the Bible, but they tell you how to apply the Bible to your life. This is a Bible worthy of reading for all times. Thank you!

The commentaries and study helps in this Bible are exceptional. My vision is not as good as it once was, and the print size is wonderful in this Bible. The only problem I have with it is that it is VERY heavy! The weighty meat of the Word and the extraordinary overviews, charts, and other tools more than compensate for the heftiness of the beautifully leatherbound volume. I recommend this Bible to anyone!!

Nice Bible but I was disappointed that Jesus' words were not highlighted in red. I bought three and gave them as gifts.

Well, this isn't actually a review although I have seen this edition and own the NLT version of this Bible (which is excellent). Here's the problem: I went to Amazon to order the NIV large print version for a computer-phobic friend and could not find any description of the color of the bound leather cover. This omission seems odd for Amazon. Typically, Zondervan makes black, navy and burgundy bound leather covers. Zondervan's web site is no help either. I guess we'll have to make the purchase locally. Just making an observation so that you're not surprised with which one Amazon sends you.

The bible has a lot of interesting and helpful features. The large print really makes it easier to read the great study notes. I was disappointed that the words of Jesus were not in red, I thought all newer bibles had that feature and did not even check it out before I purchased the bible.
