Without a doubt, Cecelia Frank is one of the best reading instructors in the country! The strategies she gives in this book can be used in anyone's classroom. No one who who wants to be a successful reading teacher should miss the opportunity to read this book.

This book is wonderful!!! During my student teaching experience, I taught 6th grade Science and Social Studies. I used the book all semester long. It has a TON of strategies that are very practical and easy to implement, even for pre-service teachers. A must buy for any person looking to be a teacher or student teacher!

There are a lot of pedagogical books out there that lecture about what needs to be done to make your classroom better, and then there are those rare gems that actually show you how to do it. This book contains page after page of thinking maps, activities, and all sorts of literacy strategies that have made my life in the classroom much easier! I am an English teacher, but every strategy is applicable in a math, history, or science class as well. This is a must buy for all age groups of kids!

I got this book for a class, but it has turned out to be a great resource to have in my classroom. It has a bunch of templates and worksheets to use with different reading strategies. A must for any teacher!!

This book is full of explanations of before, during, and after reading strategies. Each one comes with a reproducible graphic organizer to hold students accountable for using the strategies. It's very valuable for anyone who teaches English, social studies, or science!

A terrific resource for teachers of grades 3-12. They have so many strategies for teaching in the content areas. I highly recommend it.

Book was received within 6 days of order. It had stated "mint condition" but the book had a slight tear on the front cover and the bottom corner of the book was slightly bent.
