The reason that a CATIA book is needed is to read and absorb the operational details of the CAD system without having to have a computer present. An important aspect of CATIA is COLOR. CATIA uses color to differentiate conditions of icons and surfaces. I have purchased two books on CATIA (the other being Using CATIA V5 , Kleismit)and neither was in color. I think that this is an important factor in understanding the software while in use. I am still looking for a manual that is in color.
