These points are made to the second edition.

A rare book dedicated to "applied chemistry". Very useful in linking / transitioning college chemistry to laboratory practices in chemicals industry. It may be used as a textbook or reference book for those getting into or working in R&D or QC laboratories in chemicals or manufacturing industries.

It focuses on the real-world analysis of water lubricants, greases, emulsions, coal, ores, alloys, polymers, lime, plant nutrients, fertilizer, bleaching powder, etc. It contains detailed principles, reaction equations, step-by-step operations and calculations - all rendering it ready to use.

The procedures in the book are performed in chemicals industry and others: viscosity, cloud point, pour point, flash point, aniline point, nuetralisation number, saponification value, iodine value, chlorine content, turbidity, density, specific gravity, moisture content, oxygen, sulfur, nitrogen, phosphorus, polymer molecular weight, polymer characteriation, etc.

Perfect for a chemist to quickly get grasp of the above analyses.
