Very pleased with purchase. Shipped quickly, wrapped very well. It Use is for finding metal in wood that is reclaimed and being made into new furniture. Instead of wrecking saw blades, run this magnet across the wood before running any blades across. Great for finding hidden metal. Even helps to find studs in the walls. A woodworker's and handyman's valuable tool. Not a kids toy, as very powerful.

I ordered this magnet to use in a project for my electrical engineering class. It was used in simulating effects of impedance in various AC circuit applications. I will definitely use it again in future projects if the need arises. Also worth mentioning, it arrived about 4 days ahead of the projected shipping schedule, which made my team mates happy.

These magnets are great, really strong and served well for my home made speaker. Though, the magnets had a few scratches and dents. I was a little disappointed when it came to shipping too. It came on the last estimated arrival date. Also packaging was bad. I ordered 2. These magnets were separated by two hard plastic rings... They were nearly impossible to pull apart. So I tried sliding them apart. The two plastic rings came out and my finger was caught in the middle. It really hurt, and I almost lost my finger. Now I have "one" magnet. Reason being, these magnets are inhumanly possibly to separate. Next time I would like to see better separation, and a way to make it "user friendly" to take apart.

I definitely do recommend being careful when ordering more than 1.
