Dr. Bernstein has impressive credentials and years of experience; experience not only in the deductive abstracions of statistics but a great deal of research where statistical formulae were put into use. Thus he brings a knowledge of how statistics can be meaningfully used. This book can help avoid the tendency of many researchers to plug numbers into a formula they do not understand in order to appear "scientific."
