Excellent introductory book for numerical methods.,

Presents the theory and application of numerical methods for the solution of engineering problems using personal computers. In each chapter, the methods are developed and are demonstrated using worked examples with computer programs. The programs are interactive and user-friendly. They have been written in general manner so that they may be applied to the solution of other problems. The source code of the programs is given on the diskette so that the users may modify them, if needed.

Contiene importantes aplicaciones de los M.N a la Ingeniería Química en especial, analiza cuidadosamente los principales métodos, así como su potencia, error, aplicación, etc. constituye una herramienta muy útil para la enseñanza de esta materia. Personalmente lo uso para preprararme a ingresar a un programa de maestría en Ingeniería Química.
