Over the past decade, Terry has been given the opportunity to share his views with thousands of engineers and managers in many North American, European, and Asian nations and has been a keynote speaker at major industry events. His award-winning presentation in 1986 in London, England, accurately predicted the explosive growth of desktop-based systems for computer-aided design and drafting.
In 1992, Terry led a group of 14 individuals from industry and academia to form the first association dedicated to rapid prototyping. In 1993, the association joined the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) to become the Rapid Prototyping Association (RPA) of SME. Today, RPA/SME is the world's largest individual member association on rapid prototyping. Terry is also a founder of the CAD Society, a non-profit CAD membership organization.
Prior to leaving his teaching and research position at Colorado State University in 1986, Terry formed Wohlers Associates, Inc., a firm that works closely with organizations to streamline product development using modern approaches to design, modeling, prototyping, and tooling. The company has counseled many organizations on CAD/CAM, rapid prototyping, and reverse engineering developments and trends. Terry earned a master's degree (1982) and a bachelor's degree (1980) in industrial sciences from Colorado State University and the University of Nebraska, respectively.

Applying AutoCAD - An Instructors Perspective,
By A Customer
This review is from: Applying AutoCAD: A Step-By-Step Approach for AutoCAD Release 14, Student Text (Softbound) (Paperback)
I recommend this book to my AutoCAD students, because it contains the "how to" on each command, not just the "what it does". Each chapter focuses on several similar commands, and provides clear instructions with plenty of examples and problems. Although I recommend the book to my students, I alter the sequence of the chapters to fit the format and focus of an introductory course. This book provides a great reference for anyone using AutoCAD.
