Applying for Federal Jobs,
By Rodney Harry Harm (Fort Worth, Texas United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Applying for Federal Jobs: A Guide to Writing Successful Applications and Resumes for the Job You Want in Government (Paperback)
This book may have been timely when written in 1995 but in September 2000 it is very outdated. In particular, this book is lacking in information about federal government job web sites and new online departmental resume programs. I purchased this book primarily for KSA guidance and found it failed to deliver in that category also. This book certainly needs to be updated.

I read this book a few years ago and used the information to do a resume for my sister and she is now a GS-09 with the USDA. I also used it a couple of years later and I got a position with the Dept. of Defense where I am currently a GS-07. The author gives easy to understand, straightforward advice. I am thankful I had it as a resource when trying to get into the federal system.
