5.0 out of 5 stars Apprentice Cruise, March 16, 2004

I really enjoyed this book. I am not really a science fiction fan but read it anyway. I didn't want to put the book down.
I had to know what happened to Ryan Lee and his fellow classmates on their final test to receive their commissions. During their cruise Ryan Lee rose to the occasion and did the best he could and showed how he used his ingenuity to get through the tough situations. His fellow classmates on the cruise with him stuck by him offering support when he most needed it.

This book shows how important teamwork is. It also shows the bonds of friendship and how it strengthens as time goes on.

If you like science fiction, this is for you! Jack Bagley has written a wonderful tale of a young man's coming of age set against a background of wonder and mystery. It was a book I could not put down! When I read it, it's as if I "saw" the book as a movie. Read this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Intriguing from the beginning, June 3, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Apprentice Cruise (Paperback)
Jack Bagley has written a wonderfully descriptive story about a young man on his first mission into space. The mission has it trials and the young man, Ryan Lee, finds himself in seemingly hopeless impossible situations and has to force himself to look at everything as clearly and intelligently as possible, all the while second-guessing his own decisions. This story never stops, the action is constant. I couldn't put it down. I was disappointed when the end came. I absolutely loved this book and would recommend it to anyone who finds space travel interesting and entertaining. This is a must read for all science fiction fans. Mr. Bagley is a wonderfully talented writer with an imagination made of pure gold.
