Age Appropriateness? Would this be too easy/juvenile for a girl who is almost 13?

Depends on the girl I guess. It does say for ages 6-12.

I would have to say yes, unless the girl REALLY likes Legos. If I was putting the age recommendation on here it would be about 5-8. It all just depends on how much she likes building.

Lego building is all about imagination. No matter what set you buy, you can adapt it to be whatever you want. If your child likes the theme ( e.g. Horses ) she would probably enjoy the specialized pieces that pertain to the theme that are not in other sets. The build itself may not be very challenging as set forth in the instructions, but she can utilize pieces from other sets to be more advanced in her creations. If she does not have any other Lego sets, it may be too easy to use as packaged and she may lose interest quickly. I find that my young granddaughters who are age 6 find it just right as is.
