I bought "Apronisms" and just love it.
I think it makes a wonderful gift tucked into an apron pocket.
$5.99 is comparable with other similar books of it's size.
This book has a wonderful texture and I love the graphics and the sweet "thoughts" that are incorperated in this darling little book.
I have both Apronisms and The Apron Book by author Ellyanne Geisel and
I look forward to seeing other books by this author.

This is a darling little book. I bought The Apron Book, also by EllynAnne Geisel and it's a real jewel. This book is a jewel as well. Very cute indeed. I love all things retro and kitch and this little book is a great reflection of retro wisdoms and cuteness. I am planning to buy several for my special girlfriends who love retro stuff too!

I've worn aprons for more than half my life. As a child, I had a cute little half apron to wear when helping my mother in the kitchen. More than 20 years later, barbecue bib aprons became part of our outdoor cooking paraphenalia. After ruining a few pieces of good clothing while cooking, I began wearing aprons to prepare and cook all food at our house.
When I got my first copies of Geisel's vintage linens and apron books, I was fascinated by the thought that ordinary kitchen linens had become the subject of books and people were buying these books and commenting on them. For me as so many others, it is the nostalgia that these books evoke, an opportunity to revisit and remember simpler times when I didn't have to worry about when went on in the world. I've given these books as gifts to my friends who also like to remember the carefree days of our youth.
I now have an embroidery business and my favorite designs are recreations of hand embroidered designs from the past - many found in these books - that women painstakingly embroidered in their spare time on towels, sheets and clothing.

What a cute little book! Not at all what I expected, nonetheless I enjoyed it quite a bit. I had visions of it showing old aprons and giving instructions on how to make an apron; obviously I didn't read the description very well.

When I opened my mail here lay this tiny 3.5" by 2.5" book with the beautiful cover art I had seen on my screen. Ok, that's fine, I open it up and discover:

A treasure trove of beautiful pictures (I did get pictures of old aprons), little sayings, and stories from the author that are meant to inspire the reader. My favorite saying was "Wear pearls with your apron and you're dressed up enough (pg.20)." The little anecdotes in here are great to pull out once a day to give yourself some inspiration. Or, if you're just having a gloomy day, sit down and read the whole thing!

While it wasn't what I expected I'll surely get some enjoyment out of this book. The colors are rich and while the pages are tiny the font is large enough to read comfortably. In fact just reading it makes me want to go pull on an apron and bake some cookies.

I was surprised when I received this book regarding how tiny it is. My fault--I didn't read the product dimensions to learn that it is only 3.7" tall. The photo doesn't reveal how small the book is. I bought 3 for hostess gifts, but wouldn't have paid 5.99 each for them if I had known how tiny it was.

Small but potent. I started to read through it and stopped. Each little page is a gem and thought provoking. I want to savour each page. It's a cosy, comfy little plate of cookies with a pot of hot tea. I think I'll buy more of them for presents. If you buy 5, you get one free I discovered! How great is that, plus free shipping.

This was for a gift for my mom. I bought it to put in the pocket of an apron I made for her. It is smaller that I thought it would be, but it fit nicely. It was more modern and therefore, maybe not exactly what I would want for my mom, but I gave it to her anyway. She is 90 and I was hoping for something to help bring back good memories for her. It was fine.

I thought this book would be a great addition to my "apron" collection. It is, but it is so small! You can't really use it as a book, more like a decoration someplace.

Our niece loved this book! We are impressed with the content of the book, as well as the speed that we received it!

Smallest book I own. It's like the 'tiny books' you'll see at Boarders and think "Why would anyone waste $6 on something like that?" Well I wasted $4 thinking it would be a little bigger than it was. Esp how blown up the 'graphics' of the book were in the 'look inside' part. :/

Very cute things on the inside though. Took me 15 minutes to read through it or less.
