This book is so sweet. The aprons styles are the very ones my mother and grandmother wore when I was little. The patterns are easy to follow and I really like the lay out of the book. The fact that it lays flat makes it very easy to read and follow the patterns, other books do not stay open making it difficult to "work as you read". Friends have admired the styles and made requests for their own. A book of nostalgia that is very practical for today.

This book is full of different styles of aprons with fun vintage details. The instructions are clear and easy to follow with even limited sewing experience. I especially like the ideas for using old dresses to create new aprons. The illustrations are a lot of fun too-very nostalgic.

This wonderful little book is both useful and nostalgic. It even has a pattern for dad and son to barbecue, and a pattern for a little girl too. As another reviewer remarked, it reminds me of all the aprons my grandmothers, aunts and mom wore. It's a very nicely done reproduction of a Coats and Clark book which originally cost 10 cents! It was written for the everyday sewer "back in the day", and includes step-by-step instructions. The patterns in the back are shown on graphs with instructions for enlarging. It's a must-have for any apron-lover.

I could have printed this on my ink jet printer!
It is 15 one sided copy's from an old book with a clear plastic sheet over the front and back.
I am WAY to embarassed to give this as a gift.

several patterns in the book. these come in graph style, that you enlarge on your own. Will do like I remember grandma. Lay out some open pages from the newspaper. Draw my pattern free-style. Still love the variety and suggestion to up-cycle old clothes into aprons.

Liked the sketches, but wanted some photos of old aprons. The directions were in small print at the back; would have liked the sketch/photo with directions grouped together.
