4.0 out of 5 stars Not my kind of music, but I like it., March 12, 2002
This review is from: Apurimac 1 (Audio CD)
I must admit, I am most partial to the grand orchestral style music of composers like John Williams, Carl Orff, Gustav Holst, etc, and almost immediately eschew anything that is in contrast. After listening to the "Coast to Coast A.M." radio show with Art Bell in October of 1999, I heard the music of Cusco for the first time and was struck by the haunting and rythmic music. With its ethnic instruments and beat, it really takes you to another time and place, almost a surreal realm, ancient yet modern. It can also be very calming. "Apurimac" and "Inca Dance" are my favorites. If you ever want to temporarily escape the grim reality of everyday life, Cusco is your passport.

5.0 out of 5 stars Apurimac Is A Hit with Art Bell Listener!, June 16, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Apurimac 1 (Audio CD)
Apurimac is the second Cusco CD that I have bought with the first being the Best of Cusco. I was turned onto Cusco after hearning a few songs played on Art Bell's radio show, "Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell." I love the flutes and drums of this New Age group. My favorite song off of Apurimac is "Inca Dance." I would definitely recommend this CD for anyone who is looking for an alternative style of music. Finally, keep up the good work, Cusco. You've found one loyal listener.

If you are a fan of the Art Bell show then you know this music. Cusco has a sound like no one else, it is haunting yet cleansing . Great music for meditation. Music to listen to on your next out of body experience. Buy it, Listen to it, Love it . Once you have heard Cusco you will know what I mean. This is one CD that you will listen to time and time again.
